Flower Dreams Version 1

This is the first version of my first lip synch animation.

It is fall and almost winter so I chose this sound clip (Dreams, Buckcherry Black Butterfly) and knew I could tell a story. The story is the flower is saying sorry that he can't stay with us now because its soon to be winter and he is in the process of dying.

We had to transform a circle into a square or vise versa. We also needed to include a squash and stretch and a moving hold.

To better understand the the fundamental principles of animation, timing. This was a project designed to bring to life an asterisk by controlling and varying the speed of the asterisk's movement.

This is the final product, I ended up not using the baby picture mainly because I spoke way to fast to fit it all in.

I have recently been working on a group Kinestasis project with my animation class. We are animating the poem A Martian Sends a Postcard Home. My lines of the poem to animate and interpret are:

No one is exempt

and everyone's pain has a different smell.

At night when all the colours die,

they hide in pairs

and read about themselves

in colour with their eyelids shut.

this is one image that I decided i would use for the line "In colour with their eyelids shut". I used it because I thought this line represented something helpless, such as a baby, sleeping.
